Governor Abba Yusuf Fulfils Promise as He doles out 200 Riyals to Each Pilgrim

The Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has fulfilled his promise of given 200 Riyals to each pilgrim of this year’s Hajj, 2026.

Amirul Hajj, Emir of Gaya Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir has presented 200 Riyals cash to some pilgrims on behalf of the Governor and instructed the centre officers of each local government to further distribute the Saudi Riyals to the remaining pilgrims.

This was contained in a press release issued by Mustapha Muhammad, the Kano State Head of the Media, Hajj Operations, 2026, Saturday.

The Kano state Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has promised to give 200 Riyals to each pilgrim of this year’s Hajj, 2026.

The 3,620 pilgrims from Kano state receive a total of seven hundred and twenty four thousand Saud Riyals (724,000) and equivalent of two hundred and seventy five million one hundred and twenty thousands naira (275, 120, 000).

The Emir of Gaya, Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir stated that so far so good on the Hajj exercises as there were no major problems, death, or very disturbing situation, attributing this success to the cooperation among the Hajj operation team.

He cautioned the pilgrims to exercise restrains on spree spendings and admonished them to pray more to the state and country at large as general election is around the corner.

Earlier on, the Chairman Board of the Kano state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan thanked the Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for the gesture, “we are here to pay the 200 Saudi Riyals to all the Kano state pilgrims as promised by the Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.”

The Emir of Karaye, who is the Deputy Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Muhammad Muhammad Maharaz, cautioned the centre officers that the responsibility saddle on them is a huge task and entrusted to do the job, they should do their best to uphold the trust and confidence repose on them.

Featured at the occasion is the symbolic presentation of the 200 Saud Riyals cash to some of the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries thanked the Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for the donation and prayed for him for Almighty Allah to answer his prayers.
