UNIFIER PROJECT DISMISSES ALLEGATIONS AGAINST GOVERNOR ABBA KABIRU AND DIRECTOR DSS AS IT IS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED

Says claims by Buba Galadima risk undermining public trust on Institutions and national cohesion

Abuja, Nigeria — 27 February 2026

The Unifier Project has acknowledged the recent interview granted by Alhaji Buba Galadima in which he made a series of allegations against the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kano, claiming that, the opposition voices are being suppressed

After careful review, the Unifier Project states clearly that the allegations lack credible evidence and appear to be politically motivated. The organisation notes that such claims risk inflaming tensions, distorting public discourse, and undermining confidence in democratic institutions.

It is instructive that similar accusations emerged following political developments surrounding the Governor’s alignment with the All Progressives Congress. The timing of the renewed statements, coming after Alhaji Galadima’s removal from the board of Kano State Polytechnic, raises legitimate questions about motive and intent.

The Unifier Project reiterates that while freedom of expression is fundamental in a democratic society, public commentary must be anchored on verifiable facts and exercised responsibly. The group emphasised that allegations of political interference in federal security institutions are serious and should be supported by credible evidence rather than speculation.

The organisation further warned that the growing spread of misinformation—particularly across digital platforms—poses a risk to social cohesion and public trust. It called on political actors, commentators, and the media to prioritise responsible communication that promotes unity and stability.

Reaffirming its commitment to democratic accountability and peaceful coexistence, the Unifier Project urged stakeholders to embrace constructive engagement and avoid narratives capable of deepening divisions within the polity.
