KSSSSMB ALERTS PUBLIC TO FAKE JOB OFFERS, CONFIRMS ARREST OF SUSPECTS
The Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) has warned members of the public against individuals or groups offering fake employment opportunities or claiming to have the authority to facilitate recruitment into the Board.
In a statement issued through the Director Public Enlightenment, the Executive Secretary, Hon. Rabi’u Sale Gwarzo, called on members of the public to exercise caution and rely only on official information and recruitment procedures communicated through the appropriate channels of the Board and the Kano State Government.
The Executive Secretary stated that recruitment into the Board is subject to approved procedures and due process, and that no individual is authorised to solicit or accept payment from members of the public in exchange for employment or to guarantee recruitment into the Board.
Gwarzo described the act of soliciting or accepting money in exchange for recruitment as an offence punishable under the law, warning individuals against engaging in such activities.
He advised members of the public to promptly report any suspected fake recruitment offer or fraudulent recruitment activity to the Board or other appropriate authorities for necessary action, noting that the Board has already put measures in place to guard against such fraudulent activities and protect members of the public.
He commended the appropriate authorities for their efforts in addressing reported cases of fraudulent recruitment, adding that some individuals suspected to be involved have been arrested and are currently assisting with investigations. He assured that the Board will continue to support efforts aimed at preventing fraudulent recruitment activities and protecting members of the public from recruitment scams.
The Executive Secretary also commended the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his commitment to strengthening the education sector, particularly through the recruitment of additional staff to enhance teaching and learning in secondary schools across the state.
