POLICE CONSTABLE RECRUITMENT SCREENING EXERCISE CONCLUDED PEACEFULLY IN KANO; CP BAKORI COMMENDS STAKEHOLDERS, WISHES CANDIDATES SUCCESS IN NEXT STAGE
The Kano State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, wishes to inform the general public that the Police Constable Recruitment Screening Exercise at the Police Officers’ Mess, Bompai, Kano, was successfully concluded today, Saturday, 18th April 2026.

The exercise, which commenced on 9th March 2026, was conducted peacefully and in full compliance with the laid-down guidelines of the Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission. It was executed in two distinct phases: Physical screening handled by the Police Team, and credentials screening conducted by the Police Service Commission (PSC) Team led by Alhaji Ibrahim Maikudi. Both teams worked collaboratively to ensure a transparent, fair, and credible process.

The Commissioner of Police commends the Head of the Police Recruitment Team, DCP Habibu Rabiu, and all officers deployed for their discipline, professionalism, and selfless service throughout the exercise. He also expresses profound appreciation to the Kano State Government through the Guidance and Counselling Board, the State Police Community Relations Committee led by Amb. Ali Hassan Tudun Bayero, and the Federal Character Commission team led by Alhaji Garba Mohammed, for their presence, oversight, and commitment to transparency.
CP Bakori reiterates the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, that *the recruitment process remains entirely free of charge*. He warns candidates and members of the public to remain vigilant against scammers and impostors who may attempt to extort money or promise undue favours. Any such attempt should be reported immediately to the nearest police station.
The Command appreciates the orderly conduct of all candidates screened, and the cooperation of parents, guardians, and the general public. Adequate security measures were maintained throughout the exercise, and no breach of peace was recorded.
As the screening phase concludes, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori congratulates all candidates who successfully participated and wishes them success in the next stage of the recruitment process. He urges them to remain law-abiding, keep their lines of communication open for official updates, and continue to disregard rumours or unofficial information.
The Kano State Police Command remains committed to a recruitment process that meets global best practices and reflects the vision of the Inspector-General of Police for a professional Nigeria Police Force.
