By Comrade Jae

Alhaji Dalhatu Salihu Maijimiri emerges Deputy National Chairman of the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), North West Zone, in recognition of his longstanding contributions to education advocacy, community development and parental participation in the Nigerian education sector.

Maijimiri, who previously served as PTA Chairman of Gwale Local Government Area and currently chairs the Kano State PTA, has over the years played an active role in promoting quality education and strengthening collaboration between parents, teachers, school authorities and communities.

His educational advocacy extends beyond formal schooling, with a strong interest in supporting both Islamic and conventional education and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and development of communities.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities in the education sector, Maijimiri is a health practitioner who has earned recognition for supporting vulnerable members of society. He is particularly known for assisting individuals who face difficulties accessing medical treatment, providing help to less-privileged patients whenever possible.

With his new responsibility at the national level, stakeholders expect Maijimiri to contribute significantly to strengthening the voice of parents across the North West and promoting greater cooperation among parents, teachers, education authorities and other stakeholders.

His appointment is also expected to provide an opportunity for him to advance initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes, strengthening parental engagement and addressing challenges affecting the education sector across the region.

Stakeholders, colleagues and members of the community have congratulated Alhaji Dalhatu Salihu Maijimiri on the appointment and expressed confidence that he will discharge his new responsibilities with dedication, integrity and commitment to the advancement of education.
