KSSSSMB Kicks Off Teachers’ Promotion Interview, ES Gwarzo Monitors Panels for Smooth Conduct

The Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board, Hon. Rabi’u Sale Gwarzo, has toured the designated interview panels at the Board Headquarters to monitor the 2026 Teachers’ Promotion Interview and ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Addressing the interview teams constituted across the Board to facilitate the exercise, Hon. Gwarzo urged the panel members to conduct the interviews carefully, fairly and in line with the approved guidelines. He encouraged them to take their responsibilities seriously and maintain a high level of professionalism throughout the exercise.

Hon. Gwarzo further appreciated the Kano State Governor, His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, for sustaining regular teachers’ promotions, describing the development as a boost to staff morale and motivation. He noted that the consistency being witnessed under the present administration reflects its commitment to education reforms and the professional development of teachers.

Hon. Gwarzo disclosed that more than 15,000 teachers have been promoted to various grade levels since the present administration assumed office. He urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by demonstrating commitment, hard work and dedication to their duties.

The Executive Secretary also commended the interviewing officials and representatives of the major education unions, including the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) and All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), for their cooperation and commitment to the successful conduct of the exercise. He appreciated their collective efforts in ensuring a fair, orderly and credible promotion interview.

Some of the teachers who took part in the interview expressed delight with the exercise, commending Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the opportunity to advance in their careers. They said the regular promotion exercise has boosted their morale and encouraged them to put more effort into their work.
