APC Persons with Disabilities Group Reaffirms Support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf

Executive members and coordinators of the APC Persons with Disabilities Support Organization from all 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State have reaffirmed their unwavering support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf during a solidarity visit to the office of the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs.

The organization, which serves as the umbrella body representing APC members within the community of persons with disabilities across Kano State, said the visit underscores the growing political awareness and active participation of persons with disabilities in the democratic process.

The delegation was led by Hon. Adnan Ali Daneji, former Special Adviser on Disability Matters, alongside other community leaders. Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Daneji expressed their firm commitment to mobilizing grassroots support and working tirelessly to ensure the continued success of the Governor’s administration.

Receiving the delegation, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, commended the group for their unity, dedication, and show of solidarity, describing their visit as a clear demonstration of confidence in the Governor’s vision for Kano State.

He reiterated the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, stressing that under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s leadership, every citizen—regardless of social, political, or economic background—has a place in the state’s development agenda.

“Inclusivity is not just a slogan; it is a responsibility we take seriously,” the Commissioner said.

Comrade Waiya also assured the delegation that their request to organize a mega conference bringing together persons with disabilities from all 44 Local Government Areas would receive due consideration and necessary support from the government.

He concluded by emphasizing the administration’s resolve to continue building a Kano State where no one is left behind.
