INTER-TRIBE COMMUNITY SUPPORT FORUM (ICSF) DENIES ALIGNING WITH OBI-KWANKWASO ALLIANCE

The attention of Inter-tribe Community Support Forum (ICSF) has been drawn to recent political speculations and public discussions attempting to associate non-indigene communities in Kano State with the proposed political movement and alliance involving Peter Obi and Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 general elections.

We wish to state clearly that the Forum has not officially adopted, endorsed, or aligned itself with the Obi-Kwankwaso political arrangement as a collective position of the organization.

ICSF recognizes that members and residents within the various non-indigene communities across Kano State hold diverse political opinions, interests, and affiliations which should not be generalized or represented through assumptions or unauthorized claims.

As political developments continue to unfold nationally, the Forum remains committed to observation, consultation, civic engagement, and promoting peaceful democratic participation among members of the communities we represent.

We believe the focus of political conversations ahead of 2027 should remain centered on issues affecting national unity, security, economic growth, inclusion, youth development, and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

We therefore urge political actors, commentators, and support groups to avoid projecting personal political positions as representing the collective views of all non-indigene communities resident in Kano State.

Signed:

Mrs. Esther Abdullahi Kingsley,

Secretary General,

Nworisa Michael,

Coordinator, Inter-tribe Community Support Forum
