Gwale LGEA Records Significant Progress in Education Quality Assurance

The Gwale Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) has recorded notable progress in teaching and learning across its schools, following a comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance exercise conducted during the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, Malama Furaira Muhammad, attributed the achievement to sustained efforts in enforcing educational standards and improving instructional delivery in schools.

She made this known during an interview with the Communications Unit of the Gwale LGEA, where she emphasized that there has been measurable improvement in teaching quality, school environments, and administrative processes in most schools.

Furaira further explained that quality assurance involves systematic supervision and assessment aimed at ensuring that teachers and instructional practices meet the required standards. She noted that the ultimate goal is to provide quality education that benefits both students and the wider community.

She, however, highlighted the need for continued improvement in certain areas, particularly in the use of teaching and learning materials, strengthening school development planning frameworks (SSE/SDP), and ensuring access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities. She also commended supporting officers for their dedication and cooperation in ensuring the success of the unit’s activities.

In his remarks, the Education Secretary of Gwale LGA, Comrade Muntari Inuwa, praised the unit for its commitment and hard work, stating that efforts are being intensified to guarantee quality education for all students.

He called on all stakeholders to collaborate in further advancing the education sector in Gwale.
