ES Forum Commends Governor Abba for Approving Promotion Benefits for LGEA Staff in Kano

The Education Secretaries (ES) Forum representing the 44 Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs) in Kano State has commended Abba Kabir Yusuf for fulfilling his promise to approve and release promotion benefits for primary school teachers and other LGEA staff across the state.

The appreciation was conveyed by the Acting Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Nura Sulaiman, who lauded the Governor for honoring his commitment to thousands of education workers. He described the development as a clear demonstration of Governor Abba’s dedication to workers’ welfare and his unwavering commitment to strengthening the education sector in Kano State.

Comrade Sulaiman noted that the approval and payment of the promotion benefits reaffirm the Governor’s reputation as a promise-keeping leader with genuine concern for educational development. According to him, the gesture has significantly boosted morale among teachers and other education personnel across the 44 local government areas.

The Forum also extended special appreciation to the Executive Chairman of the Kano State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Yusuf Kabir, for his proactive efforts in ensuring the inclusion of the teachers’ promotion benefits in the February 2026 salary payment. The Forum expressed satisfaction with his leadership and commitment to advancing basic education in the state.

The ES Forum reaffirmed its support for policies and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of teachers and enhancing the overall standard of education in Kano State.
