GSS Unguwar Gano Begins Staff Step-Down Training on Effective Teaching and Learning

KANO — Government Secondary School (GSS) Unguwar Gano has commenced a step-down training programme for its teaching staff, aimed at strengthening effective teaching and learning practices as well as improving classroom management.

The training, which commenced today at the school premises, is being facilitated by Mallam Garba Muhammad, a retired Deputy Director of Monitoring and Evaluation.

The programme focuses on refreshing teachers’ knowledge and reminding them of essential professional procedures required for effective teaching and proper school administration.

Speaking on the theme of the training, “How to Do with Lesson Note, Lesson Plan, Record of Work, Syllabus, Register, Scheme of Work and Classroom Management,” the facilitator is expected to guide staff on the appropriate preparation and effective use of these key teaching and learning documents.

The training also seeks to ensure that teachers properly organise their instructional activities, maintain accurate records and adopt effective classroom management strategies that can contribute to improved learning outcomes.

The programme is being held under the sponsorship of the Principal of GSS Unguwar Gano, as part of efforts to enhance the professional capacity of the school’s teaching staff.

The initiative is expected to serve as a useful reminder and practical refresher for teachers on how to put their teaching activities and relevant school records in proper order.
