NUT Deputy Chairman in Gwale Supports 48 Teachers with Ramadan Assistance

The Deputy Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) of Gwale Branch, Comrade Yusuf Sadi, has provided Ramadan financial assistance to about 48 teachers to support them during the holy fasting month.

The gesture took place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, when Comrade Sadi presented the cash support to the beneficiaries as part of efforts to ease their financial burden during the Ramadan period.

Speaking during the presentation, Comrade Sadi assured the teachers that he would continue to support them, particularly throughout the month of Ramadan, and promised that future assistance would be even greater than the current one. He also urged the teachers to offer special prayers for the Kano State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Comrade Baffa Ibrahim Garko, in recognition of his efforts toward ensuring improved salary structures and welfare for primary school teachers.

In his remarks, the Youth Leader of Gwale noted that such support is what leaders and people in positions of authority are expected to provide. He described Comrade Yusuf Sadi as a compassionate individual who is deeply committed to the welfare of teachers. According to him, this spirit of generosity was one of the key reasons members of the union supported his emergence as a leader within the teachers’ association.

Speaking on behalf of the female teachers, Comrade A’isha Sani expressed heartfelt appreciation to the NUT Deputy Chairman in Gwale for the financial support extended to them during Ramadan.

Also speaking at the event, Dr. Nazifi, Head of Unit (HOU) at Junior Secondary School, Gwale LGEA, who represented the Chairman of the Gwale Local Government Education Authority, said the authority was delighted to witness the commendable act of kindness demonstrated by the NUT Deputy Chairman. He conveyed the appreciation of the Gwale LGEA leadership for the initiative.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke during an interview expressed their happiness and gratitude, offering prayers for Comrade Yusuf Sadi and wishing him continued success.
