KANO GOVERNOR APPROVES 75% OF LAWYERS’ DEMANDS

‎The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the payment of 75 percent of the demands presented by the Kano State lawyers’ association following their recent industrial action.

‎This development comes as part of the state government’s effort to resolve the issues affecting the judiciary sector and improve the welfare and working conditions of government-employed lawyers in the state.

‎In addition, the Governor has directed the immediate payment of two months’ outstanding salaries owed to newly recruited lawyers who had not been paid says commissioner Information and Internal Affairs.

‎The lawyers’ association has expressed satisfaction with the Governor’s decision, describing it as a demonstration of commitment and responsiveness to their concerns under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

‎The resolution is expected to bring an end to the strike and restore full legal and judicial activities across Kano State.
