Kano Exco Approves ₦859 Million Compensation for Tudun Wada Road Project

The Kano State Executive Council has approved the sum of eight hundred and fifty-nine million, two hundred and seventeen thousand, six hundred and fifty-four naira, thirty-five kobo for compensation to owners of properties affected by a major road project in the state.

The approval was announced during a press briefing on the outcome of the 36th Kano State Executive Council meeting, held on 31st December, 2025.

According to the briefing, the compensation covers structures affected by the construction of a five-kilometre dualised road in Tudun Wada Local Government Area.

The Council explained that the payment, which will be supervised by the Ministry of Land, is aimed at ensuring fairness to affected residents and facilitating the smooth execution of the road project.

The Executive Council reaffirmed its commitment to infrastructure development while upholding transparency and the welfare of citizens impacted by government projects.
