₦25,215,258.45 Donated to Haruna Bashir Following the Brutal Killing of His Family

We have presented Malam Haruna Bashir Muhammad with the sum of ₦25,215,258.45, which was jointly raised for him following the gruesome murder of seven members of his family, including his wife.

On Friday, 23 January 2026, a renowned lawyer and activist, popularly known as Barrister Abba Hikima Fagge, formally handed over the funds to Malam Haruna Bashir Muhammad, whose wife and six children were brutally killed in Chiranci East, Gidan Kwari area of Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano State.

Barrister Hikima stated that since the tragic incident that befell this servant of God, efforts had been made to seek support and assistance for him, and by the grace of Allah, support was indeed provided. He added that some well-meaning individuals also assisted him with accommodation.

He further explained that on that Friday, he transferred the total amount collected—over ₦25,215,258.45—to Malam Haruna Bashir Muhammad through his personal bank account. He also disclosed that they visited the bank where Malam Haruna’s account was temporarily restricted to ensure the safety and security of the funds until he regains emotional stability.
