Youth Journalists Group Honours NUT Kano Chairman for Educational Contributions

The Youth Journalists Concepts Advocating for Support of Youth of Nigeria (YJCASYN) has honoured the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kano State Wing, Comrade Baffa Ibrahim Garko, during an event held at Government Girls College (GGC) Kano.

The group presented Comrade Baffa with a distinguished award and conferred on him the title of “Majidadin-malamai” in recognition of his tireless efforts in promoting education and defending the rights of teachers day and night.

Speaking at the event, YJCASYN President Comrade Lamilu Hassan stated that the honour was in appreciation of Comrade Baffa’s leadership and dedication in guiding teachers to effectively carry out their teaching duties, as well as his support in empowering students with skills for self-reliance after graduation.

Representing Comrade Baffa at the event, Comrade Kabiru Garba Fagge reaffirmed the NUT’s support for all the objectives of the Youth Journalists group. He also called on the organization to intensify its efforts in helping students acquire vocational skills.

Comrade Fagge, on behalf of Comrade Baffa Ibrahim Garko, further urged the Kano State Government to strengthen the implementation of skill acquisition programs in schools across the state, to help students become self-reliant in the future.
