Notorious Thug Awaisu Killed
A notorious thug, Awaisu, has been killed in Dorayi community after he snatched a phone and stabbed the victim.
On Saturday, 31/1/2026, some youths raised an alarm and killed a thug who was well known for phone snatching and breaking into people’s houses in Dorayi area. The deceased, identified as Awaisu Musa, was 19 years old.
The young man, Awaisu, lived in his grandparents’ house in Dorayi, close to the residence of Barrister Wada Bashir, near Yankifi. He had gained notoriety for terrorizing residents of Dorayi community. According to reports, the incident occurred in broad daylight at about 4:00 pm when he stabbed a young lady in the chest with a knife and snatched her phone around the Konannan Gidanmai Bus stop close to Sheikh Ja’afar Juma’at Mosque. People immediately rushed to assist the injured girl and she was taken to the hospital.
A police officer donated his blood to save the life of a woman who was stabbed with a pair of scissors. The Police Command confirmed that the woman is alive.
Meanwhile, some angry individuals whose identities are yet to be known killed Awaisu and set him ablaze on the spot.
