KOMC Honours the Kano State Governor

The Kano Online Media Chapel (KOMC) has honoured the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, in recognition of the cordial relationship he maintains with journalists.

Speaking on the award, the Chapel’s Chairman, Comrade Abdulkadir Dangambo, said the Governor was honoured because of the goodwill, affection, and strong commitment he consistently shows toward journalists. He added that the Governor supported and took all the responsibilities for a two-day training programme for online media practitioners on the ethics, rules, and regulations of journalism (2-Day Retreat).

Comrade Dangambo also noted that the Governor, through the leadership of the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, provided a permanent office for the Chapel.

In view of these achievements, the Association on Thursday, 15 January 2026, presented a Special Award of Honour to the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.
