In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim, the state government extended its deepest condolences to the royal family, the people of Gumel Emirate, the State Council of Chiefs and the entire people of Jigawa State over the death of the former Emir.

Governor Namadi expressed appreciation to the kingmakers of the Gumel Emirate Council, led by the Wazirin Gumel, Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Nasoro, for their role in the selection process.

He also commended the Emirs of Hadejia, Kazaure, Ringim and Dutse, who constitute the Jigawa State Council of Chiefs, for their valuable advice and contributions during the process.

The Governor, on behalf of the Jigawa State Government, congratulated the newly appointed Emir and prayed for him to have a successful reign and many years of dedicated service to the Gumel Emirate and the nation.

The government also prayed to Allah SWT to forgive the sins of the late Emir, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, while granting his family, the emirate and the people of Jigawa the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
