GSS Unguwar Gano Students Visit Block-Making Industry to Promote Entrepreneurship
Students of Government Secondary School (GSS) Unguwar Gano have visited a nearby block-making industry as part of activities under the school’s Commerce and Entrepreneurship Club, aimed at equipping students with practical skills and encouraging entrepreneurial interest.
The educational visit brought together students from SS2 and SS3, alongside some newly admitted SS1 students, who were given the opportunity to observe firsthand the processes involved in block production and gain practical knowledge of block making.

The initiative was designed to expose students to vocational and entrepreneurial opportunities while encouraging them to develop practical skills that could contribute to their future self-reliance.
The students were led by two dedicated members of staff, Mallam Abdullahi Adamu Muhammad and Mallama Maryam, while the Club Coordinator, Mallama Zainab Garba Mustapha, supervised the visit.
The school management described the initiative as part of its commitment to complement classroom learning with practical experiences that can inspire students to explore entrepreneurship and acquire skills relevant to their future careers.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the students to interact with practitioners and gain a better understanding of how block-making businesses operate in real-life settings.
