Politics is the activity through which people make, preserve and amend the general rules under which they live. Politics is inextricably linked to the phenomena of conflict and co-operation, the existence of rival opinions, different wants, competing needs or opposing interests guarantees disagreement about the rules under which

people live. In each and every politics people recognize what the government and it’s policies are going in – order to ensure that all it’s citizens and the work of the government is working on it. This is why the heart of the politics is often portrayed as a process of conflict-resolution, in which rival views or competing interests are reconciled with one another.

Similarly, politics is practised in all social contexts and institutions, or only in certain ones (that

is, government and public life), politics indeed, it sometimes appears that there are many authorities willing to offer an opinion on the subject, before the 2023 general election, kano state governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf (Shugaban Kano First) promised a “Pro – people” Education, health, security, job creation for Youth and women. Education by revamping the educational sector, which has included initiatives like recruiting mathematics teachers to address subject gaps, his administration has shown unwavering commitment to advancing education in Kano state, which aligns with the reasons behind the Nigerian union of teachers (NUT) conferring him with the (NUT) golden Award for his transformative efforts in rescuing Kano’s education sector from years of decay and neglect. The Shugaban Kano first look inward on the educational sector and began by reviewing the then current situation of the educational sector. Security Kano State – Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has taken a significant step towards strengthening the state’s security apparatus by donating 78 vehicles to the Kano Police Command. This generous move aims to improve security across the state’s 44 local government areas, ensuring the safety of residents and fostering a secure environment. The donation includes 44 vehicles for the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across all local government areas and 34 Sharon cars equipped with advanced technology for surveillance and rapid response operations. This will enable the police to respond swiftly and effectively to security challenges in the state.

The Shugaban Kano first Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf emphasized that safe guarding lives and property is the fundamental duty of any responsible government. He pledged continued collaboration with security agencies to enable effective service delivery and announced plans to provide similar support to other security agencies. In line with this development, to prevent and respond to security threats in Kano State. Governor’s generosity, noting that the new vehicles would significantly enhance the effectiveness of security personnel, the donation is a welcome boost to the Kano Police Command, demonstrating Governor Yusuf’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Kano State residents. Similarly, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has focused on revitalizing Kano State’s healthcare system by increasing staff, rehabilitating infrastructure, and enhancing drug availability, and the achievements include employing hundreds of medical staff, upgrading Primary Health Centres (PHCs) to General Hospitals, and increasing drug availability to 96%, and Healthcare Initiatives, staffing & Welfare, reinstated 926 staff, recruited 250 doctors and 155 other health workers, are provided to train in – order to improve morale and

Infrastructure Improvements, that Revitalized 187 primary health care centers, and renovated facilities like Hasiya Bayero paediatrics Hospital and Yada kunya General Hospital, and

Drug Supply & Services that Improved Drug Resolving Fund (DRF) resources, which ensuring nearly 96% availability of essential drugs in facilities, and specialized Care Accredited postgraduate Programs in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Internal Medicine, ENT, and Family Medicine.

His administration has prioritized rural health by upgrading facilities in areas like Ghari, Garin Malam, and Garko to full General Hospitals.

In addition, to infrastructure, The Shugaban Kano first approved ₦69 billion naira to aggressively transforming Kano State infrastructure through massive investments in road networks, pedestrian bridges, and social services, with major projects and rehabilitation of major roads (RMK Flyover, IBB Road), and renovation of boarding schools and healthcare facilities, works and Projects, road Construction & Expansion of katsina Road and also expansion from Baban Gwari Roundabout to Mil Tara including pedestrian bridges costing at ₦24.7 billion, sabon Titi to Madobi Road, and Ongoing reconstruction for improved connectivity, aminu Kano Way, Reconstruction and expansion to ease traffic congestion and rural Connectivity, 5-kilometer rural road projects in all 44 LGAs, plus additional projects in Gezawa, Bichi, Dambatta, Garko, and Takai local government.

Urban Infrastructure & Pedestrian Safety, and

Pedestrian Bridges Over 13 reinforced concrete pedestrian bridges being installed at strategic locations to improve safety and rehabilitation Projects. Asphalt overlay of RMK Flyover, IBB Road, and Kofar Mazugal Junction (₦7.8 billion). Which include Lungu Kal-Kal Project that Initiatives aimed at sanitation and city beautification.

Social and Institutional Infrastructure, by Renovation of 13 closed boarding schools and dilapidated structures in technical colleges (Dambatta, Ungogo, Balan Tsanyawa,Guringawa), renovation and equipping of 203 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across all 44 LGAs, and iCT Construction Centre at the College of Health Technology, Kano.

Water Supply Phase II. The Shugaban Kano first Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf also Reach-Out Water Supply Projects, including dam rehabilitation and pipe expansion. His excellency the executive governor of Kano state Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf has also prioritized the rehabilitation of the Doguwa Juma’at Mosque and has approved significant funds for 2026 special intervention projects.

Lastly, all this “Pro People” is been completed in the first two years of his office, then what are we waiting for? People of Kano are ready to vote AKY Again, because all his promises has been accomplished, and everything is in right position, let joint our hand together and vote the super governor (THE SHUGABAN KANO FIRST) for the brighter future of our state, for his vision and mission among all in the whole country.
