Comrade Jae Launches TESSPAA to Promote Teachers’ Development, Self-Reliance and Public Awareness

Comrade Auwalu Shuaibu Jae, publisher of E-Magazine Media Channel and Chairman of Teachers Media and Consultation Service, has officially launched a new non-governmental organisation, the Teachers’ Education, Support, Self-Reliance and Public Awareness Association (TESSPAA).
The organisation is established to support teachers through educational development, professional capacity building and the acquisition of legitimate self-reliance skills, while also promoting public awareness on critical social and educational challenges affecting communities across Africa, particularly Nigeria.
Speaking on the establishment of the association, Comrade Jae explained that the idea of creating TESSPAA had been under consideration for a long time, but that the organisation has now successfully been established to provide practical support to teachers and communities.
According to him, TESSPAA is an independent organisation that will work collaboratively with government institutions, civil society organisations, educational bodies and other relevant stakeholders committed to sustainable community and human development across the world.
He appealed to members of the public, particularly Nigerians, to support and cooperate with the organisation in order to enable it achieve its objectives and make a meaningful impact nationally and internationally.
Key Objectives of TESSPAA
Comrade Jae said the objectives of TESSPAA include:
– Organising seminars, workshops, conferences and training programmes for teachers.
– Promoting effective teaching and learning.
– Encouraging teachers to acquire modern professional and digital skills.
– Promoting teachers’ welfare and professional development.
– Encouraging self-reliance and legitimate income-generating skills.
– Supporting educationally disadvantaged children and young people.
– Promoting literacy and lifelong learning.
– Conducting public enlightenment campaigns on education.
– Discouraging school dropout and promoting regular school attendance.
– Promoting ethical conduct and professionalism among teachers.
– Encouraging collaboration among teachers, parents, communities, government and relevant organisations.
– Conducting research and publishing educational materials.
– Recognising and celebrating outstanding teachers and contributors to education.
– Supporting community-based educational initiatives.
– Promoting peaceful coexistence, unity and responsible citizenship.
– Advocating policies that improve education and teachers’ professional development.
– Establishing partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organisations where appropriate.
– Undertaking any lawful activity that supports the objectives of the Association.
Comrade Jae further stated that TESSPAA’s doors are open to individuals, organisations and stakeholders who are willing to contribute positively to its vision and support its programmes.
He expressed optimism that, with the cooperation of the public and relevant stakeholders, TESSPAA would contribute significantly to improving education, strengthening teachers’ professional capacity, promoting self-reliance and creating greater awareness of major social challenges, including school dropout, insecurity and drug abuse.
TESSPAA is therefore positioned as a platform for education, teacher support, self-reliance and public awareness, with a vision of contributing to positive social and educational transformation in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
