Kano Government Reaffirms Partnership with Civil Society at Strategic Engagement
The Honourable Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has reiterated the commitment of the Kano State Government to sustained collaboration with civil society organisations, following a strategic meeting held with key actors in the sector.

Speaking after the engagement, the Commissioner said the meeting formed part of the administration’s routine consultations aimed at exchanging views on issues of critical importance to the state. He noted that the government of Abba Kabir Yusuf continues to recognise civil society as a vital stakeholder in governance.

Waiya explained that the session provided an opportunity to brief participants on ongoing policies and programmes of the administration, stressing that strengthening partnerships with civil society remains central to his mandate as Commissioner for Information.
He described the interaction as productive and insightful, adding that reconnecting with colleagues and partners further reinforced the shared commitment to advancing development and good governance across Kano.
The Kano State Government reaffirmed its resolve to maintain open channels of dialogue with non-state actors as part of efforts to promote inclusive governance and sustainable progress.
